Aerosol Flow System dedicated Aerosol Flow Control unit containing a reciprocating air pump, which provides controlled suction to draw aerosol particles through the cell, as well as an air ‘sheath’ to prevent particles from contacting and adhering to cell walls.
The user is to generate his aerosol and feed it to the inlet of the cell.
After the system provides controllable flow rates, both TOT and shape analysis can be performed.
The Aerosol Flow Cell can be used to measure airborne solids or liquids found in a particular environment.  Additionally, the size distribution of solid powders may be measured, using the aerosol cell in conjunction with an appropriate aerosol generation system.
The Aerosol Controller may be used in natural or industrial dusty environments to measure the particle size distribution and concentration of the aerosols.

Examples include:
-    Monitoring of particulate emissions from combustion processes
-    Monitoring of dustiness in the workplace for environmental safety
-    Monitoring of particulate levels during loading and unloading of powdered materials
-    Monitoring of particulate pollution in the environment
-    Monitoring of droplet size in industrial sprays

The Aerosol Controller may be chosen for analysis of solid powders, where analysis of a material in a liquid media is disadvantageous.  For example, some very delicate powders may break apart into smaller particles in a liquid, while measurement of the original larger particles is desired.
