The LFFA has many features to allow all sorts of artefacts to be measured
With a camera / lens, illumination and laser assembly, the system can be adapted to measure artifacts in a plane, and topography features when the artifacts protrude out of the layer. The System consists out of three cameras with specific lenses. One low magnification camera / lens is identifying the object and finds the coordinates of the defects. Once determined the whole measuring assembly can be controlled to inspect the artifacts. The system can be controlled to inspect the artifact with the high zoom lens to go to a resolution of 1 µ if needed. The laser sensor which is added to the measuring assembly can be used to determine the topography of the artifact and can generate utterly precise details of the topography. Easy to use software can be used to navigate the measuring assembly.
The third camera can be used to reconstruct the 3D topography of the artefact in conjunction with the high-resolution Camera lens system. The system can be configured for simple tasks and advanced tasks, all depending on the application. In the following application examples are given. The system comes with a programmable diffuse LED backlight to be used for transmission experiments. In order to obtain more insight we have developed cluster plot graphs to characterize a certain batch of material in such a way that feed back can be given to the process people whether the granulation system is working appropriately.
